Elford Hall Gardens again

After a quick trip to Marks and Spencer, I returned via Elford Hall Gardens.

I've never seen it so busy - but for the saddest of reasons. A funeral at the church next door. But at least people had somewhere beautiful as a kind of comfort.

The rose garden is superb. The vegetables and plants are thriving with the care and attention of the gardeners.

I went in search of butterflies but the only ones I saw (and managed a tricky shot) were frisky Ringlets again.

But the damselflies and dragonflies were in evidence.

I've looked this one up and I think it's a male Banded Demoiselle. Please correct me if it isn't as I'd like to learn more about them.
