After the rehearsal

The orchestra at the Royal Opera House don't hang about.

Immediately Sir Antonio Pappano has conducted the final note at the final dress rehearsal, they're off.

I love the relaxed approach. No formal dress code, check the mobile, pack up and go.

It was "Simon Boccanegra" by Verdi. Wonderful music. The title role was taken by Thomas Hampson. But the ones who stole the show were tenor Russell Thomas as Gabriele Adorno and Hibla Gerzmava as Amelia.

Another £4 well spent :-)
