Pooch on the beach again
We awoke to the sound of rain pounding the roof.
Up we got and out we went to find a beach for Cousteau. We had a good run (albeit not a long one) on a very small piece of beach. The King tides mean that even at low tide, there's not a lot of beach. Two days in a row, we seem to have hit nearly high tide! Clever us!
Still, lots of racing around to keep warm and to avoid the waves made it a fun walk all the same.
Then, all packed up, we headed for home. We had a look at a couple of cars to buy, but didn't drive anything. The weather just made us want to stay in the warm.
We headed for the city and ended up at a pizza joint for lunch. The waiter was French, so I got to have a good natter with him in French. I don't often get the opportunity to parlez en francais, so I lapped it up; so did he. Mr Barking just looked on with a big smile on his face.
We realised that the pizza restaurant was the same one we went to for our first date, seven and a half months ago, which was kind of neat.
Then another walk in the park for Cousteau, before church.
We're now home, sitting in front of the fire. Cousteau is turning himself inside out vying for our attention and we are ready to hit the sack.
We've had a lovely weekend; I think Cousteau has too.
I'm going to have a quick rope tug game with the pooch before we turn in.
Night all.
