View from my study

A mixed, showery day and pretty cold. Still, this is the view from my study window - and I am grateful that my wife has such green fingers. Not only is it an uplifting view but provides me with many beautiful plants to Blip. Thinking, meditating and writing are so much easier when I can see all this beauty around - but at the same time appreciate the hours of work which goes into making it like this.

Reminds me of the story of the chap who was leaning over the fence and chatting to the gardener and saying, 'Isn't it wonderful how God has provided you with such a beautiful Garden.' The gardener replied, 'Aye, but you should have seen it when God had it all to Himself!'

When I am preparing sermons etc. I am always conscious of how hard it is for people to work through issues raised and try to address those, so that it becomes possible for lives to be transformed - it doesn't just happen all by itself.
