Rain is Coming

7 AM looked very hopeful
for weather
The sun was already high
and shining through my
window screens making a haze
of the skyline
9 AM and I'm now convinced
we will have that rain storm
we've been promised
Everything appears grey
especially my holy mountains
I will sip coffee and pretend
that I wanted to work inside anyway
