Mono-Monday....reflections.....
I was in a rather pensive mood yesterday. It didn't seem to lift the whole day.
After returning from a dawn shoot , my lovely Jasper seemed to be rather bothered by something in his ear. He kept shaking his head and we tried to help him relieve his discomfort. He kept pushing his head into our laps.
During the day I remembered a discussion with our vet regarding Wamberal Lagoon being a dangerous tick place for dogs and we had walked near to the lagoon to go to the beach.
We watched Jasper very carefully during the day for any signs of tick poisoning but he seemed OK except that in the evening he was rather stiff and not walking well with his hind legs. He had been very active with the boys in the afternoon and I think he had overdone it.
We each took turns brushing him and examining all of the places he might be hiding a tick, but didn't manage to find anything.
Jasper is completely fine today although we will continue to monitor him in the coming days.
So my reflection (after a full day of work) is not really the literal photograph of a reflection but rather my reflection on how devastated we would be if this wonderful member of our family were to fall ill or worse. He enriches our family life every day.
Thank you again to Rainie for hosting this great challenge.
