The lavender and the bee

It sounds like the name of a pub...but it isn't. After trying for a while now, I finally got a shot of a bee. With my heavy D800 camera and it's zillions of megapixels macro photography is not the easiest, every slight tremor shows up in the image.

I would like to get a smaller compact camera for situations where the large DSLR is too obtrusive or too heavy to carry around. However, being used to the high quality images from my Nikon D800 I won't be happy with images of significantly lesser quality, so I am looking at a high end compact camera. I have had my eye on the Fuji X-T1, but am not sure if I want something simpler like the Fuji X100-S. Then again, the Nikon Df is so appealing but the price certainly is not. I probably will carry on researching and procrastinating for the next few months...

Or maybe I should forget about it and just visit the lavender farm tomorrow instead of shopping for cameras.
