Bomb site?
No, just the site of one of Northampton's most well known landmarks being demolished, taken in haste out of the car window at the traffic lights. It's a sign of the Times (if you'll excuse the pun), it being the former home of the town's long running newspaper 'The Chronicle & Echo', which has recently gone to weekly from daily and is lately online now. They need less room. They've moved out of town. It is a sad event, but I have no doubt that whatever is going to replace it will be good for the town, though I have to admit I'm not sure what it is yet.
My third half day in a row (long story, but a good one) and this morning was fine. I changed at work then drove to the leisure centre in Market Harborough and went swimming for the third day in a row. It is a proper 25m pool with plenty of room so I was able to swim proper lengths in lanes. I am so pleased as I did 30 lengths, which is (nearly) half a mile. I am so happy and still have the endorphins a few hours later! I still have the techniques after all these years and am highly motivated to continue. Hurrah!
I then had a head shrink session, the first for three weeks. It was fine. Pretty positive really. I'm home now and nicely tired so am bound to have a reasonably early night.
