Fire Solves All Problems Perfectly pt 25

You shove him aside and launch at Jason, rolling in the dust with your spit flying as you wail on each other; you get on top of him, your fist so tight in his collar that he can’t breathe, and you twist it until it he turns purple. You’re not in charge, you tell him, I am, I’m in charge.

Stop it, Tim says, and he shoves you, not hard but you’ve never put hands on each other and you are so surprised that you let Jason go.

All right, chief, he says, sniffing blood and sitting up. You win, I give up. He holds out a hand to Tim who helps him to his feet, and he brushes dust from his legs. Ow, he says, wiping his nose. And I was afraid there wasn’t nobody to fight here.
