Woolfest

Very sad leaving my dear old friends Ann and Jack and their beardie, Bella, after just two days, but my kind sister came and collected me and we spent a wonderful day immersed in the world of all things wool related at Woolfest! It is held in Cockermouth in Cumbria annually and I've always wanted to go. As it was their 10th anniversary I thought I'd better make a real effort and it was definitely worth it.

Absolutely amazed at all the crafts and artforms using wool that folk turn their hands to. The most beautiful and intricate knitwear, delicate felting and weaving of all different sorts using all manner of hand looms. A feast for the senses - lots of colour and textures, fascinating people and some very nice dogs too!
