Comma
Rain is forecast (if you look at the BBC maps, we're in the shadow bit) so I decided to go out to have a good look at the wildflower meadow at Pipe Hall Farm Woodland Trust before it started.
We certainly had sunny spells - and the butterflies were out and about, but rather energetic.
Ringlets by the carpark were chasing each other - but occasionally stopped
There were Small Skippers and burnet moths on the blue flowers
One lovely Speckled Wood - but I always post them
A solitary Small Tortoiseshell
Meadow Browns were out and about - and always manage to look a bit the worse for wear !
And there was a funny pale one that I can't identify.
Not bad for less than an hour.
Quite a choice - and that list didn't include Kane, the rescue Akita, or the tiny dog who goes for a walk with a toy in his mouth......
But the Comma won
