Squelchy
Apologies first up if you're squeamish. Still trying to work out why after 28 gruelling holes of golf yesterday less than 12hrs later I went out and ran 10 miles including a 5km park race but there we go. Good for the knees I keep telling myself though at the moment I feel like both of them were hit by some shrapnel in 'nam back in 68. An enjoyable run in the rain it must be said but as so often happens half way through one feels a squelchy feeling in one's shoe. I know instantly what it is though what's very annoying this time is that I only bought the new running socks on Thursday. Basically the nail rubs against the toe next door as the trainer is tight on the foot and like a slab of concrete abrading through a nitrile glove it wears though the skin thus creating a river of blood. I braved through the shock and fear shown elsewhere in the house (the cats) and got on with my life. Tough guy I know.
