Mooloolaba, Australia

We flew direct from Auckland to Maroochydore, on the Sunshine Coast of Australia this morning, arriving at 10am. We picked up our rental car, and as we couldn't get into our apartment until 2pm, we headed for the shops. The only thing was we were too tired to be bothered walking around shopping, so we had an early lunch, and took a leisurely drive to Mooloolaba, where we are staying.

The weather here is fantastic - sunny and warm. This afternoon we went for a walk along the beach front. People were out swimming in the sea, and sunbathing on the beach. Definitely a huge improvement on what we have been having at home.

It's son C's 16th birthday today. It's hard to believe where those 16 years have gone!

This photo was taken from our apartment terrace. The little white dots in the distance are sail boats. I could sit here all day gazing out to sea.

Not sure what's on the agenda tomorrow, apart from a nice long sleep in!
