Today's the day ............................. to laze

Didn't do a lot today - a lazy Sunday.

There were interesting programmes on the television - Day 2 of the Tour en Yorkshire which was even more exciting than Day 1 and the Men's final at Wimbledon. The olive tree in a pot in the garden needed re-potting but really it wasn't a day to achieve a lot more than that.

This is the view looking eastwards from Kendal towards Sedbergh and these gently rounded hills are the Howgills. Actually, the whole landscape looking this way is gently rounded with the hummocky drumlins and the blobs of deciduous trees. Those lines on the hills are drystone walls that pay no attention to the natural contours of the land.

It's the sort of countryside that you can just imagine Postman Pat (and his black and white cat) travelling about in his red van .........................
