A day of sorts

We had an alright day at times. Kanye wasn't quite himself. It's hard to pinpoint what was going on with him but he was restless, everything upset him or was too much input so to counteract when this happens for him he creates output ie. Squealing, shouting, crying etc. Nothing settled him, he just didn't cope with much today.

This meant that I really had to limit activities, I immediately cut out all sensory ones they would have been too much for him, instead i did things that got them to burn off some energy. I did the spider Web of tape which i did not too long ago, I cut a pool noodle in half and had bought some high bounce balls to roll down them like a track. Marbles are meant to work better but didn't want to risk that with harper around. I put up their easel and let them paint with crayola paint pens. They're like pens with liquid paint and a brush tip that doesn't drip think of a quill it's like that.

I bought a chalk mat last week which is cool it's really sturdy and i discovered little chalk works best.

They didn't stay at any activity for longer than 20 minutes, i think giving them a day in between all the stuff I have planned might be a good idea.

I was pretty tired today. I have a rating scale that I should probably share with family.
1st cup of tea in the morning= Normal, very much needed.
1st cup of coffee= probably tired, need something to get through the day
2nd cup of tea = Usually about 3pm, a bit of a pick me up.
2nd cup of coffee= Im exhausted and it's the only thing keeping me alive/awake.

I had 2 cups of coffee and 2 cups of tea. I am stunned i am still awake now at 8pm i should have been asleep ooh about an hour ago. Kanye in his moods take it out of me having to help him calm himself and also meet demands of the other two.

After lunch they were both getting a bit agitated so we went to the botanic gardens. I bought them lunch there then let them run. They ran off to the playground and we stayed for about an hour. Marley has stayed close to harper today either making him laugh, playing with him or pushing him on the swing, he even chased ducks with him. I think perhaps he knew Kanye was not alright and very disturbed so playing with harper meant he wasn't going to get grabbed or held down by Kanye.

When they came home Kanye watched gnomeo and juliet, mar jumped into bed and played on the ipad, his throat is still very husky, he gains more of his voice back the more he drinks and has quiet time.

Tonight while I was putting washing away harper took his first steps, he was holding onto the easel and took 5 steps towards me. I was stunned! I wasn't prepared for him to do that! ! He did it again when andre got home but was too tired to keep doing it. I can't believe he did it! Very Bittersweet to see my last babe reach a significant milestone! .
