About the Day
A really good day today. Still brimming with excitement about my successful bid for a Canon 5D. Yay!! Having lost so many times previously, I put a hefty bid in at one minute to go, and was astonished that I was leading the race with £50+ slack available. Better still, as I watched the seconds tick away, no enemy bids came in. So I won the camera auction with change from £300.00. Such happy days! Should be with me come Wednesday or Thursday. Can't wait.

Having barely come to terms with my good fortune, we were off out to meet Steve and Helena for lunch at The Red Lion, Claverdon. All jolly tasty with service marked '6' out of 5. Even got an unsolicited discount which, I had wondered might be on the cards. Capping it all, as we left, around 2:30, so the sun came out.

So with a sunny Sunday afternoon in front of us, we made for Packwood House and a stroll around the grounds.

About the Blip
At the far side of the grounds, beyond the lake, a short distance before the entry to a wood, stands a decrepit old oak, with its innards missing.
