Sweltering Fields near Warnham
On the way home I went down Strood Lane and this view was taken looking across the field adjacent to Horsham Corner Copse which is behind the camera on the right side. These fields all belong to the Warnham Lodge Estate and are all arable under a yearly rotation. The faint pointed hill on the horizon is part of the distant Surrey Hills. These are a line of hills that are made up of Lower Greensand (Folkestone and Hythe Beds) and are higher than the chalk North Downs that lie to their north. This is a very good area to walk in as there is a good network of footpaths.
A good and very quiet day at work today, but those who know me well will know that I absolutely hate heat and humidity and today has been real hell for me and for my mum. It looks worse still tomorrow and I am hoping that it will eventually go. You can't do normal things and enjoy life when it's like this - it's just awful for those who don't get on with it. So, anyone out there who reads this and doesn't like the heat, you have my utmost sympathies!
