Spectacular ruin!

No! Not a selfie! :-)) This is in fact the ruins of the Abaye St Jean des Vignes in the centre of Soissons. The Abbey was founded in 1076 by Hugues de Blanc. Most of the beautiful building that can be seen today was built in 13c although some Roman elements remain from the original Church.
Other than shopping at the hypermarket this morning and wandering around the Abbey we have done very little today. We are conserving our energy in readiness for the next week.
