Britannia Royal Naval College Cadets

... in Start Bay on an officers' training picket boat, also known as a P1000. These are now only used for training purposes on the Dart and around Start Bay. (Here viewed from Blackpool Sands.) Soon after I'd taken this photo, some of the cadets were in the water having a swim. Looked super.

Had a paddle. Lovely temperature, perfect for swimming, which is personal torture. I daren't swim until my sciatica has gone as my legs easily go into cramp. This time last year I'd swum several times. The water tonight was perfect for swimming - as still as a millpond. Grrr. Meanwhile, my knee on the other leg is still swollen and painful, but I see the physio again tomorrow.
