Life with Alice

Upside Down Again

Hot days mean no work and all chill. Or almost. Short training sessions and tiny walkies up to the stream where I can splash around if I like. Other than that, I'm free to play in the big garden but with the line. Had it not been for this No barking-rule that has been put into effect, my life would be perfect.

If they only knew how many things there are to bark at if you are a five-months-old puppy! Some perfectly valid, like someone walking on our road. Others more dog logic-style, like birdsong, an engine in the distant, a scary shape of a shadow. And when one dog in the neighbourhood starts, the others just have to answer back...

Mum says she and our neighbours are risking to get holes in their heads from too much barking, so a strategy involving a water spray bottle is being tried. We'll see, we'll see.
