.......the cocktail, not my husband :)

It was my husband Andy's birthday today.

I gave my swim a miss and went along to his running club this morning. I needed to do something as I know we are in for a weekend of feasting. I joined in the walk/runners group. We covered around 5 miles. I actually really enjoyed it. Now I'm wondering if I can manage to get from my swimming, home, shower and back out to join in with the running within an hour next week....I'd like to think it was possible.

We came home, showered and he opened his presents and cards. He's been very spoilt. I bought him clothes, glasses he can use for running and a Garmin watch. The boys bought him a raclette. He was given money, a book about running and a ticket to see Band of Sculls.

Then we went into London with my two eldest sons....the youngest is having a marvellous time in Kavos.

We Started at The Grill On The Market in Faringdon. What a great place. We had cocktails and other drinks, oysters and a sharing platter. We all loved it.

We left and walked to The Burger and Lobster restaurant. There are no menus as there are so few choices. The sweet waitress just tells you what's on offer, which is burger or lobster! We had the lobster. It was huge and delicious. We were all so full.

Came home and as it was so hot we jumped in the pool to cool off.

Tonight it's just birthday cake for tea...if we can manage to eat anything more.
