Making Snap Shots!
Today was . . . well it was a little bit of anything we wanted to do. So here are a few snap shots.
Mr. Fun left for work early, so my sis and I had decided yesterday that today we might like to go doo-dah shopping at Victoria Gardens (a shopping area north of us). I especially wanted to see the Williams-Sonoma Grande Cuisine store -- they have lots of cooking items. My sis loves to cook, so she was more than willing.
So my daughter came by late morning to get Katie dog who had spent the night here (Katie is a little Westie that my daughter got from my sis). So once Deidre and Katie left, then my sis and I headed out.
At the Williams-Sonoma store my sister bought a vegetable slicer, and I saw a pan for cooking mini-waffles. I really wanted it, but thought it was too much money (found it later in the housewares dept at Penneys for half the price). After walking through the WS store, we strolled through a couple of other stores, but the one I enjoyed the most was Pottery Barn (which isn't a barn at all and has very little pottery). It does have lots of household items and fancy decorating. It was there that I saw the display of photos clothes-pinned to twine. I liked it a lot. I looked around and did not see a salesperson, so I nonchalantly took my point & shoot from my pants pocket and clicked from several angles.
We arrived home about 3:30. I immediately headed to the kitchen and started cutting several varieties of lettuce, then spinach, tomatoes, onions, and avocadoes for salad, and then sliced red, yellow, orange, and green bell peppers and onions to sauté for a side dish. While I was in the kitchen Bob dog clung to my side and then when my sis joined in the kitchen work, she brought in little Sporty's bed so he could join us and moments later Bob dog thought he could fit into the tiny bed. We just laughed and laughed and of course I blipped the moment.
It's now almost 9:30 and our granddaughter Ashly just phoned to see if she can come by to see my sis. Ash's evening class at the college ends at 10:00 and they got out early tonight.
Mr. Fun, my sis, and I are watching the DVD of Paul McCartney in New York City (it's a fabulous concert!). So that's the report of our day. If I can get our Internet to connect (which has been ridiculous lately), then I will get this page uploaded.
Tomorrow is my sister's last full day here with us. She heads for home in Portland, Oregon, Saturday morning.
Good night from Southern California.
