A view of the boats on Lake Windermere

We enjoyed a fantastic Sunday afternoon with four generations of the clan at the family caravan in Ambleside, near Lake Windermere.
The landscaping there is really well maintained by a sole gardener who is dedicated to his work.
There are pink and red geraniums, evergreen shrubs, roses, bright orange marigolds and Californian poppies.
It was the first visit for Maria and Greg, Hazel and their children. who saw it as a great adventure.
There is an indoor swimming pool and a gym.
Corey and Tyler had fun using Grandad's binoculars.
We saw five cygnets and a beautiful pair of swans.
We were blessed with some rain but it was sunny and milder than the recent weeks.
We had a meal with Paul's parents at The Flying Boat before driving home.
