Beauty is all around us.

A few views of Rishton.

Today 25 years ago on this date, Paul my husband and our baby son Gregory, sold our house in the middle of a terraced street in Accrington and moved to a three bedroomed corner terrace in Rishton.
We were both working full time in those days, and we decided in our lunch break, that this was the house for us to settle and bring up our family.
Little did I know then that we would meet so many nice people and find the beauty of Rishton the canal and the countryside such a great place to be.
I have been on a long walk this morning, trying to capture what I find interesting about living here, again, some may say, as I did a Rishton postcard a little while back.
I just love this place, the Churches, pubs, park, Rishton Prospects, the railway station planters we tend and the sense of community.
So I hope you feel the joy when you look at it.
I know some of the pictures are small and will be better viewed in large!
Everything looks better when there is a blue sky and fluffy clouds.
The background is a Silver Maple tree, near Shawbrook Close, that I hug sometimes.
I see God's Spirit embedded in Nature, plants and trees, and the verdant beauty of Rishton is intrinsic to that sense of being at home here and belonging to the Oneness of all life as it evolves.

This is a description of the small photos:Top from left to right:The Roebuck pub, an old coaching house dating to 1753. The Rishton Arms near the station, recently new windows frames, the Railway station.
Middle row left to right:Rishton parish church; Coat of arms with the motto Reviresco, meaning I grow green again, I renew my strength; High Street shops.
The last row left to right :The Leeds Liverpool canal; Rishton Reservoir, The War Memorial.
Have a lovely day blipper friends.
