The Bass Rock from Pittenweem
23C with lots of sunny sunshine. Light breeze (which was delightfully cool).
Local Public/Bank holiday so Apothecary7 had an extra day off. We decided to go across the Tay bridge and make for the villages of the East Neuk of Fife.
We went to Crail first, parked the car and had a walk down to the harbour. The tide was out and the boats in the harbour were sitting on the mud. Not as conducive to photos as nice blue water. On the way back up from the harbour Apothecary7 went into the Harbour Gallery Restaurant and asked if we could bring Maeve the Deerhound in if we sat on the little terrace out at the back. Result. Cake and cold drinks. Maeve had the two pieces of tablet that came along with the cold drinks (we always have water for her in the car).
We drove along to Pittenweem and had a walk right along the seafront there. Apothecary7 got us ice cream from the well named Ice Cream Shop. They had little containers, which was a great idea. No dripping of ice cream down the side of a cone which so often happens on a hot day. We sat at one of the seats and had our ice cream, each leaving a small helping for Maeve at the bottom of the container. The blip is the view of the Bass Rock looking South across the Firth of Forth from Pittenweem.
We came back home mid afternoon, via M&S at city quay. There was a dine in for two offer on. I'm just off to cook it now.
