The shape of things to come

I sometimes find it hard to believe that this dahlia which I bought in a sale several years ago just goes on flowering. It is planted in a shallow bed and only watered when I remember. Here it is looking very plain and unlikely to produce anything much. You just wait..I will blip the bright red flowers in about 10 days.

It is raining here and there is more forecast for tomorrow. But it is party time tomorrow evening as we celebrate local friends' joint birthdays. Have a fun weekend everyone.
