'Tomato Harvest'............!

Yes this is my tomato harvest for today (well...actually quite a few of them have been eaten)!! before I took the photo...
And my small Basil plant to go with them....
and it was very small when I bought it for 79 cent in a 'selling off' rack in Tesco.....
I've minded it ...fed it with herb food...watered it and turned it with the light.....
while the Toms were ripening and now it's ready to eat when they are....
nothing quite as nice as home grown tomatoes with a salt/sugar/basil dressing...
that's my own 'make-up' now....oh and don't forget the drizzle of very good Balsamic!!!
Or a good old plain tomato sandwich.....yum!

Wow...but the weather s been wet....my hubby went to great trouble emptying two water butts to paint behind them and now they are full! again after that rain!!!
unbelievable.....hope it doesn't forget to stop now!!!!!
Bank Holiday tomorrow....yay............!
