Pose For The Photographer.

No 3 in the ArtWorks project. This model is on the fire escape of Dumbleton's Award Winning photographic studios, now sold to another company on their retirement but still turning out wonderful portraits. It is situated at the city end of Milton Road and was the first one I noticed. The model seems to be dressed in small pieces of painted cardboard, some corrugated, and looks out over the busy traffic island. On her retirement, Frances Dumbleton attended my dance classes and while there she took a superb picture of us all. I thought she was going to take a few shots in the church hall we use, but no, we had to carry our chairs to the car park and be arranged under the trees and a really professional picture was the result. She even got in the shot herself. I have seen a couple more models and as they are due to be removed soon I shall pop down early tomorrow. Sadly, one has been stolen and another vandalised, such a mindless mean thing to do. So very upsetting for the youngsters who spent so much time making these lovely works of art.
