Carnforth to Arnside??

After a brief rainy start - waterproofs on and off twice - we had wall to wall sun for today's walk. It was quite varied with beautiful woodland as well as the coastal stretches. Here Helen, our leader, is pointing out what we can see in the distance, her voice temporarily taken by the wind.

There were 8 of us on the walk which we took quite slowly. It was very relaxing.

This evening we ate in The Albion in Arnside.

A question posed at dinner was - "What is The Good Life" and is it different from "A Good Life"? We didn't do too well with this one! I will be interested to hear your comments (unless the question produces a stunned silence as it did at dinner).

Tomorrow poses a challenge. Should we walk in the heavy rain or not........ I'm reserving judgement until I see just how bad it is.
