........a suitcase and three bananas..........

Full English breakfast at the Guest House...........round to the Boss' dad's.....the daughter and our niece Ellie were up and about.....her oldest brother Andy and his wife Mary arrived.......then middle brother Pete and Helen .......Richard and Mary.....then Youngest brother Rob and Sue and finally the S & H, Young Helen, Charlie and Hannah.

So we had three Helens (did I say the Boss is called Helen) and two Marys.....although the Boss could have switched sides as she is Helen Mary......and Hannah could have been on the Mary team (it's her middle name)......The Daughter and Young Helen could have had their own team...they both have Louise as a middle name.

Pete's Helen announced she was making a trip to Tesco..........she needed a suitcase for her upcoming trip...and she had Tesco vouchers..........she went into the house to see if any thing else was needed and came out looking slightly perplexed.......and announced she was "Off to town for a suitcase and three bananas"......several others drifted off with her...........the rest of us went back to whichever of the three B & B's we were staying in and got changed for the birthday lunch.

Around 11.45 we all assembled again...ready to travel to the venue for the 12.30 lunch........at which point the eldest brother decided he needed a photo of us all.......it quickly descended into more cat herding........(see yesterday's blip)......and then just as we all got in the frame and put on our plastic smiles....it rained!

Eventually we arrived at the venue.....the lunch was very good.....the champagne better...and this was the cake. The Boss' dad and her mum were keen walkers, especially in the Lake District and this volume of the famous Wainwright series contains her Mum's favourite...and the place where we scattered her ashes.....Haystacks.

Late afternoon and back at the house the group began to break up................the three brothers and their partners departed .........as did the S & H and his tribe.......until only the Boss and I and the Daughter.......and Richard and Mary were left.

The two days of partying had gone well.....................no-one had caused any major problems.

Now it's just a sleep........another Guest house breakfast and we can depart.......to my Dad's to pick him up and bring him home with us for a couple of days.
