Inspiring athletes

After the excitement of The Commonwealth Games we could be forgiven for feeling "all sported out".

Team GB have found a way to keep us interested by taking the European Championships by storm.

Or more accurately they are performing brilliantly in a storm!

It seems every time a British athlete sets foot on the track they are in with a chance of winning a medal.

After 2 days of competition GB and NI sits at the top of the medal table, with 4 Gold medals.

I suppose Jo Pavey made a few sit up and take notice.

Winning a Gold Medal at the age of 40 (the oldest person ever to win a track medal) probably made "the kids" sit up and think "If Jo can, I can".

So tonight 3 more Golds, a Silver and a Bronze.

My blip is of Tiffany Porter, European 100m champion.

Sadly the name and stunning good looks is where the connection ends. We are not related.

Just as well. Tiffany is fast with her times measured to the hundredth of a second.

I am slow, with times measured to the nearest day!

If you get the chance please have a read of my blip from yesterday.
