Tidying up.

Driving up the M6 from Preston to Penrith has become an almost daily trip recently.

Today's trip included tidying up Mrs. Ps parents grave.

There was a family friend who looked after the grave but it seems he has retired so now it's everyone for themselves.

So it came as a shock to find 2 foot high grass on the grave.

While Mrs. P and Adam scrubbed the headstones I drove to my brother's to get his petrol powered hedge trimmer.

Yes, the grass was thick enough to be able to use a hedge trimmer!

a couple of hours work saw the grass much shorter and the headstones scrubbed and repainted.

We will now have to keep a closer eye on it while we find a replacement looker afterer. We will be able to do this on regular trips to make sure my Dad is ok.

Maybe there's a business opportunity here looking after graves for relatives who live away.....
