Golden Anniversary
This morning we hopped in the car to go to the Camperdown Wildlife Centre. We had to make a coffee stop while her ladyship woke from her nap (no point in going around a zoo when the baby is asleep!)
We saw brown bears, wolves, rheas, meerkats, otters, tamarins, lynx, marmosets and chickens!!!
It was good though, and we used up our otherwise free morning.
Then quick back to the hotel to get our glad rags on for the party, to celebrate my uncle Tom and aunt Gena's 50th wedding anniversary. En route to the restaurant, Dad took us via his home town to show us his parents' old farm where he grew up and his school and places he used to go.
I havent been up to Scotland for probably 25 years, so to see all our family was a bit daunting, as I didnt know many of them! But they all knew us and were genuinely pleased to see us and especially Isla. She was really made a fuss of. Once again, she performed brilliantly. She was quiet all throughout the speeches, and the music recital (i have a very musical family - seemed to have skipped me unfortunately). She ate loads, never refusing something different, an so we had a cas of belly ache in the car on the way home unfortunately, but she soon perked up and slept well again in her hotel cot.
