Cumbrian Farewell

An early start to the day, and into Carlisle to catch the train home...

Heading south, the Cumbrian scenery was wonderful, though slightly blurry, thanks to the very comfy high-speed Virgin Pendolino train. At Birmingham I changed trains, and for an extra £2.50 was able to upgrade my ticket to Bristol to First Class! Worth every single penny to have a quiet, and comfy carriage, with free Wi-Fi, and free drinks, snacks and a choice of lunch from the menu!!
