Shoreham Woods ( I hear no cars)

We organised a low key orienteering event on this very sunny Saturday. There were lovely views up and down the valley.

It looks very peaceful and in the valley it was. BUT the M25 has been dug into the hill to the left right through the middle of the woods . If you open the detailed map you will see what I mean. To get out of the field you climb up left and can soon hear the constant hum of cars. A footbridge over the motorway gets you back to the car park. I bet there a lot of campaigning when the M25 route was being planned.
