Caterpillar On Da Kale
Another lovely warm sunny day :)
Back at work today and a fairly quiet day it's been. There has been a film showing this morning and then there's a big debate on tonight about the referendum for BBC Shetland.
After work and out into the sunshine with Sammy dog for a few hours before I have to work in the pub tonight.
My friend Tommy Isbister had been photographing Shetland Kale yesterday and it got me inspired to look at it too. I love the colours in it and looks great with the sunshine. This poor kale plant has been getting attacked by those pesky cabbage white caterpillars. Cabbage white butterflies only arrived to Shetland during WWII, so a fairly new insect to Shetland and at first there was no defenses against them! Taken at Aith, Cunningsburgh.
