Out of the mists of time

We have shared our home with this cycad for a quarter of a century. Very occasionally it produces new leaves. It seems to be in no hurry to grow, which is as it should be for a plant with a lineage going back to the age of the dinosaurs. They have changed little since the Jurassic.
