24 Hours: Steam Crane
This weekend there was a photography competition called 24 Hours in Bristol, running from noon on Saturday to noon on Sunday. Entrants were allocated a one-hour time-slot at random, and they had to enter one photo taken in that time-slot. After that, you could pay for additional entries where you could choose the time-slot.
The light was variable all day Saturday: patchy clouds being blown around with occasional bursts of brilliant intense sunlight. I spent quite a lot of time hanging around waiting for the right light.
Here is the Steam Crane on the docks (previously blipped here and here) lit by the setting sun on Saturday evening. This shot was one of my entries to the contest. They announce the results in late September. Fingers crossed.
