Brighten your day with a poppy

There are still poppies around in the fields. I had been taking shots of a field being ploughed, rectangular hay stacks and a wheat field yet to be harvested. Despite the fact that the background had some interesting haze the dull brown green colours of these landscape shots lost out to the vibrant red of the poppies.

Good news, my son has arrived in Sydney ok and has met up with some of his group and is happily being a tourist.
