Wedding Pictionary!

This past weekend I went to my cousin’s bridal shower. The shower was in Connecticut, at her mom’s (my aunt’s) house. We left around 11:30 on Saturday morning, and drove four hours to get to her house. There were about fifteen women at the shower. There was the bride, her two sisters, the groom’s two sisters, a friend from college, the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom and some relatives. There were many different types of food there. The choices were very interesting. There was an assortment of cheese and crackers, fruit, figs with ricotta cheese, and cantaloupe with ham wrapped around it. My aunt had a lot of things planned for us to do. The first game we played, all the guests had to write down a memory they shared with the bride, and she had to guess who wrote which memory. We did the same thing with date night ideas that everyone wrote on a Popsicle stick. After she opened her presents, we went inside to play wedding Pictionary. We were separated onto two teams, mothers and daughters. All of the cards had something to do with a wedding. This picture is a picture of the bride when it was her turn to draw. After we played Pictionary, we ate dinner. After dinner, we played more games, and by that time it was getting pretty late, so people started going to bed. All fifteen women slept in my aunt’s house. After most people went to bed, I stayed up with four of my cousins and the sister of the groom and we talked and gossiped for a long time. It was nice being able to talk to them because I don’t get to see them that much now that they all have jobs of their own and live far away. The wedding is a little less than a month away, so everyone is super excited!
