Reduced to tears...!

Picture the scene; we visited the excellent Yorkshire Air Museum today, who were holding their Allied Forces Memorial day.

The museum is housed in a WW2 air base. We were standing around the 'flag square' with current and retired service personnel from around the world, air cadets, and WW2 veterans (proudly wearing their medals) while 3 pipers (in full highland dress) played from the top of one of the buildings, accompanied by a marching band.

Then two Spitfires from the 'Battle of Britain' memorial flight flew over low and fast, turned flew past again and then were gone...leaving us with tears in our eyes...
what a moment!
