All alone

Mike had his haircut again so took the opportunity to walk around the harbour. Although it was overcast it was warm and the tide was in and very still.
There were good reflections of the boats in the stillness of the harbour. Two yachts were further out heading towards Inverness. Lots of gulls were on the surface. bobbing along. Swallows were flying under the harbour wall and landing on the metal ladder. Starlings and sparrows were feeding on the seeds and insects around the tyres. The harbour collie was keeping watch.

It was fun at Brownies again with a visit from a member of the local community who helps organise shoeboxes for the charity Blythswood. Each year over 100, 000 shoeboxes are filled with essentials, like toothpaste, soap etc and a few treats and sent off to people, young and old, suffering from poverty in countries abroad including Bulgaria and Pakistan. We made a huge tower of the boxes we were given and it managed to stay up for a few minutes before crashing to the ground.
