Reproduction of the Sistine Chapel

I wasn’t in Rome today, but was in the parish church of English Martyrs in Goring –by-Sea, West Sussex. More details can be seen HERE.

Gary Bevans, one of the parishioners spent five and a half years of evenings completing the project. Amazing as this is, there are many other things of interest including beautiful stained glass windows made from recycled glass from other religious establishments.

We went on to Shoreham to get bits and pieces for the bungalow so that some more of the jobs on the list can be done whilst we are here.

Lunch was at Shoreham Airport, a magic place with an art deco terminal building. We sat outside watching the light aircraft taking off and enjoying the very large portions they dish up. A big gull sat about 3 feet away from me looking pleadingly for a chip, but I didn’t encourage him to stay.
