A Canna Flower.....I think!

I am sorry but I am not even sure it is a Canna, If any of you know which plant it is please let us know.
My Son-in- Law John bought this a week or so ago but even he could not remember the plant name!
In this lovely warm weather we are having up in the Lake District it has come into flower, so have taken several close up shots of it.
The red petals appear out of the tight looking buds. It is spectacular to look at.
