Surbiton Lagoon

Had a book in Waterstones when I worked there called Boring Postcards. On the surface of it this could make the short-list.

Following on from a conversation last night I decided to track down the spot of the old Surbiton Lagoon. Sadly it has been closed since circa 1980 but the spot still exists as parkland where they filed it with rubble. Being a bit of a swimmer I took a trip to the grassy spot only to find no trace at all of any Lido, pool or buildings. Will be looking at old images in a minute to see if any of it is comparable.
