RICHMOND CASTLE

Richmond Castle looms large in Richmond, North Yorkshire UK. Situated next to the River Swale, the castle was constructed from 1071 onwards as part of the Norman Conquest of Saxon England.

We spent one night in the market town of Richmond, and the food at The Black Lion can be fully recommended - grand indeed.
This morning we completed the Drummer Boy Walk. This is an old legend in these parts, all of which can be found on this link.
