Before the performance

I'm at the Festival Theatre tonight to review a series of dances by the Richard Alston Dance Company.

I love watching dance performances. The expression, coordination and beauty astounds me. I love the movement. I find it particularly mystifying because I have no coordination. I wish I could be as graceful and as elegant.

I arrived at the theatre early as usual. This time I was so early that I had the entire place to myself. I felt like I'd stumbled into secret world - it was deliciously quiet and perfect - so I took a moment to bask in the splendour of my surroundings. Theatres are such beautiful places, the architecture is simply wonderful!
