Chateau d'Etoges

After a very easy journey this morning, we arrived at Chateau d'Etoges which is the final destination of our road trip. It's a stunning Chateau in the heart of the Champagne region, which was built in the 12th century and apparently Louis XIII stayed here in 1632.

It's situated in the little village of Etoges and has wonderful gardens with ducks and swans in the moat. When we arrived it was 22 degrees, so we walked the boys in the gardens and then sat and had a drink in the sun before venturing into the village.

We're having dinner in the restaurant here tonight, so have just come back to the room to relax for a bit before getting ready. Our room overlooks the moat so we can hear the ducks quacking and have just seen a group of them flying past the window.

Anyway, I'd better go and get ready - enjoy the rest of your weekend!
