Three Butterflies

Today we walked from our holiday cottage to RSPB North Warren which is a small reserve about 1.5 miles away. It's a lovely walk through woodland and across heath to reach a lovely fen with an large expanse of reeds, then a beautiful Heath, currently grazed by ponies. We've done the walk a number of times on previous visits to the area, but today We were very pleasantly surprised to find a brand new viewing platform (apparently only days old) when we spent quite a while enjoying the sunshine, and views of Marsh Harriers and a brief but close sighting of a Kingfisher.
In the woodland, there were lots of dragonflies and butterflies enjoying the sunshine too and threes 3 posed beautifully on an old bleached tree trunk.
