Our last 2014 visit to the beach cafes???
Summer is drawing to a close here. Last week saw a few days of Indian summer - lovely heat, no wind - perfect weather for yet another visit (I suspect our last this year) to one of the many beach cafes along the coast.
Just as you see in spring, when the cafes go up, some are standing while others, next door, may be half constructed (or rather, at this time of year, deconstructed). Containers appear on the beach, into which entire buildings (pretty much - they are rather prefab in nature) and their contents disappear for the winter. However, this one, Beach Club 57, was still standing on Sunday and so we were able to enjoy an al fresco lunch, a few glasses of white wine/chilled beer while the girls played on the beach. It has been a favourite pastime of ours over the last few months.
This picture was taken from the water's edge and, I kid you not, there were several people bathing in the water! Wish I'd had my swimmers with me as well.
